Pocahontas the role model of girls(Final assignment!)

Among the princesses we discussed in class, Pocahontas is the most positive role model for girls growing up today. Because Pocahontas was adventurous and curious, she met the settlers and become friends. And because of her open minded personality, she could be friends with anyone and understand each other well.
Her likenss of nature  could make her friend with nature. Because of these reasons I think she is the most positive role model for girls growing up today.
First, Pocahotas was  adventurous and was curious. When she saw John Smith she followed him and looked at him because of  her adventureous and curious minds. She then became friends with John
smith. She follows John simth whether he kills her or not. She takes risks. That proves Pocahontas is adventurous and curious. These days girls sits in their house playing computer games, watching TV and playing with their phones but, if they are adventurous and curious, then they will go out have some adventure and get some exercise.
Second, Pocahontas has open minded personality. She could understand and became friends with John Smith easily because  she was open minded. She could understand John Smith's opinon and thinking of the new land where Pocahontas was living (The United States). In schools there are people that are shy and can't understand other people. They often become outcasted. Especially girls make outcasts. If they are a little open minded they could be not outcasted and have a lot of friends.
Third, Pocahostas was friendly to nature. She climbed trees, go into the woods and ride canoes. She was a friend of nature. She falled down a waterfall. She ran and ran until she was exhausted. She was a friend of a racoon, a bird, and all forest animals. If  girls growing up nowadays are interested in nature, they could know a lot of interesting things about nature and get healthier.
These are what I think girls' role model could be. Adventurous, curous, open minded and friendly to nature. I think that Pocahountas could be a role model of girls growin up nowadays.

Brave Response Essay

Have you ever thought about that you wanted to change your fate? In this pixar movie 'Brave' animated  in 2012, There is a scottish princess named 'Merida' who wants to change her fate. She doesn't want to be a princess. She wants to be free, but because of this thought she is selfish. She has no responsibility to be a princess. I think this movie shows that you have to have a courage to say that I'm selfish or I'm wrong about that reason.
Marida hated to be a princess. She is active and wanted to be free and do what ever she wants. We can know that because of her magnificently red curly hair. The hair is really bouncey. Her mother wanted her to be a future  queen. Merida's mother was very stubborn to her but, caring for the inside. She really loved Merida. But  Merida couldn't understand her mother so, she went to the forest and met a witch. She realized that the witch could change her fate. She asked her to change her fate. She brought the cake to her mother and gave it to her then, her mother changed into a bear. By the help of her brothers she let her mother out. I think it was not  a very good choice to give her mother the cake. That's because she was selfish and turned her mother into a bear. but at this point I think because of the cake she knew what her mother wanted to say to her. She understood her.
I was relieved then.
She lived in the forest with her mother(the bear),and   found the witch's house. The witch said that  if you want to change Merida's mother to a human, she should mend the bond. I was curious to know what it ment. Merida and her mother met Mor du the evil bear that ate Merida's father's leg. Merida then knew what to do. She had to sew the tapestry. She went to the castle to stop the clans fight. When she does that, she was able to understand her mother's mind. And could persuade the clans. That to find your own fate. Then Merida's father discovered her mother.  Her mother was run after her father. Merida hurried to sew the tapestry. She put the tapestry on her mother. But, she didn't change so Merida grabed her neck and cried. Then her mother changed into a human. Merida was relieved. After these events she knew that hating makes people murderous and evil.
This movie was fun to watch and  taught me that we have to be independent, brave and coose our own fate.It teaches un to understand adults. I think I won't forget this movie

Adora Svitak

                                                           Adora Svitak
Hello my name is Betty. I saw a speech about Adora sivtak. She said age doesn't matter. And children should teach adults.  In my opinoin, I think children should be treated better.
First,Adora said adults made problems. For example like Hitler. At that time children for example Anne Frank wrote her diary to show the world to how world war 2 was like.
Second , she said that children's minds are more creative and their minds are more opening. If the adults think of glass they think of crystal vases, but children think creative. Like "bacon boy" According to this reason children is more creative.
Last, children are leaders of the future. Adults should teach them well and listen to their opinions. Adora Svitak said "You must lend an ear today , because we are the leaders of tomorrow.
In conclusion, children should be treated better because they are creative , more open minded, and children are the leaders of the future.
